The Portuguese midfielder secured his 215th victory in the Premier League match against Burnley (1:0). In doing so, he managed to break the record of club legend David Silva, which stood at 214 wins. Bernardo Silva has become an integral part of the team since his transfer from Monaco in 2017. He now sole-leads the list in terms of total victories. The top three is rounded out by David Silva and goalkeeper Ederson with 205 wins. The 31-year-old midfielder has won 72 percent of his 299 Premier League appearances.
The match against Burnley was also historically significant for Silva in another metric. By making his 453rd appearance for the club, he surpassed Mike Summerbee in total appearances across all competitions to move into 8th place. Under Pep Guardiola, he has proven himself in various positions ranging from winger to central midfielder.
During his eight seasons with Manchester City, Bernardo Silva has won 19 major trophies. He holds six Premier League titles, matching the achievements of Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones. Although the Portuguese star is expected to leave the team at the end of the current season, his name has been written in gold letters in the club's history.
