Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick praised his team after the 2:0 win over Getafe. The German coach was especially pleased with the players discipline and movement on the pitch.
According to Flick, the team stayed loyal to its style and showed balanced play with and without the ball. "We followed our philosophy. I am very pleased with what I saw — the team worked fully, we were attentive in every situation, especially with long passes," the coach noted.
He emphasized that chances created before the first goal were also important, and after the score opened, the game was fully controlled. The second goal was the decisive blow that secured the victory.
Special attention was paid to Pedri. Flick rated his movement, attitude and game as "high level." Marcus Rashford's play also satisfied the coach — his goal was very important for the team.
The coach also said that for now they should not think about the standings or calculations. The main focus is on every match, the championship will be celebrated after all matches end.
Currently, Barcelona leads La Liga with 85 points and remains one of the closest contenders for the championship.
