In the 33rd round of the Turkish Super Lig, Istanbul Basaksehir hosted Samsunspor. This match, which drew special interest from Uzbek fans, ended in a confident victory for the hosts. Basaksehir defeated their opponent 3-0 to secure three crucial points.
The most pleasing aspect was that two of our compatriots, Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullayev, managed to score in this match. This was great news not only for Basaksehir fans but also for football enthusiasts in Uzbekistan.
The match started very successfully for the hosts. In the 6th minute, Eldor Shomurodov opened the scoring. Our compatriot once again demonstrated the composure, positioning, and clinical finishing typical of a top striker. The early goal allowed Basaksehir to control the game with ease.
Towards the end of the first half, in the 43rd minute, Sari extended the hosts' lead. After this goal, it became very difficult for Samsunspor to get back into the game. Basaksehir continued to play with discipline in the second half, maintaining the result.
In the 70th minute, Abbosbek Fayzullayev came on as a substitute. Shortly after, in the 78th minute, he also put his name on the scoresheet. Abbosbek's goal made the victory even more emphatic and effectively sealed the match.
Shomurodov played the full match, proving once again how important he has become for the team. Eldor has been showing consistent form in the Turkish league recently, becoming a key force in Basaksehir's attack with his goals and activity.
Fayzullayev's goal after coming off the bench is also noteworthy. In such situations, a player is not given much time, but they must make the most of their opportunity. Abbosbek performed this task perfectly. He came on, found the space, and scored — that is the best response in football.
Following this victory, Istanbul Basaksehir reached 54 points and climbed to 6th place in the league table. Samsunspor remains in 7th place with 48 points.
