Uzbek canoeists win bronze at the World Cup

The Canoe Sprint World Cup stage continues in Szeged, Hungary. The Uzbekistan national team has achieved another successful result in this prestigious competition.
In the women's C2 200m event, our compatriots Nilufar Zokirova and Shohsanam Sherzodova reached the podium. The Uzbek athletes clocked 42.04 seconds in the final race to secure the bronze medal.
This result is of great importance for our national team, as competition at World Cup stages is always fierce. The world's strongest paddlers participate, and every second, or even a hundredth of a second, can decide the fate of a medal.
The gold medal in this event went to Cuba's D. Sirilo and L. Lopez, who finished first with a time of 41.53 seconds. Second place went to the Chinese pair Ch. Shuai and W. Lin, who recorded a time of 41.67 seconds.
Nilufar Zokirova and Shohsanam Sherzodova demonstrated their potential in a tough battle against strong rivals. Their bronze medal once again proves that Uzbekistan has talented athletes in rowing and canoeing.
