Can Tottenham recover from their crisis like Manchester United?

Tottenham are fighting for survival in the Premier League. Many are wondering: can the team make a dramatic turnaround next season like Manchester United and return to the top four? Former defender Alan Hutton downplayed the London club's chances in an interview with GOAL. This is reported by Goal.com .
Hutton believes Tottenham will need to spend a significant amount to overhaul their squad. Despite heavy spending in recent transfer windows, the expected results have not materialized. Many players have faced issues with fitness and form, leading to the team's slide down the table.
Ange Postecoglou ended a 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League in 2025. However, this success only temporarily masked the team's internal problems. After finishing 17th last season, Tottenham are now at risk of relegation to the Championship.
Manchester United showed great progress by rising from 15th to 3rd in a year, securing a Champions League spot. Under Michael Carrick, the "Red Devils" managed to unite. Hutton, however, sees no such change at Tottenham, noting that injuries and poor home form are hindering the team.
Currently, the team led by Roberto De Zerbi holds its fate in its own hands. The final match against Everton will decide whether the club stays in the elite division. If they survive, they can start planning for the 2026-27 season, but a top-four challenge seems impossible for now.
