The government's label of being a risk to the supply chain has had serious consequences for the company. As a result, all of Anthropic's contracts with the federal government were terminated. According to company representatives, the government is using state power to punish a company that does not align with its views, which is unconstitutional.
The lawsuit filed states that the Department of Defense did not follow legal procedures in making this decision. Specifically, no risk assessment process was conducted, and the company was not given an opportunity to defend itself.
