Japan has created an AI app that can determine why a baby is crying

The Awababy application, based on artificial intelligence, was developed in Japan. It helps parents understand why the baby is crying.

It is reported that the application was trained based on approximately 150,000 audio recordings. The algorithm analyzes the pitch, timbre, and duration of the sound and determines the cause of the cry. The app recognizes 11 different situations and needs. These include hunger, drowsiness, discomfort, loneliness, temperature fluctuations, abdominal pain, and those in need of attention.

Users can also share experiences about how they calmed the child in different situations. This serves to form a general recommendations base. It was announced that starting April 20th, a premium version of the app will be available free of charge for families with children under two in the Japanese city of Misima.
