Bright meteor shower to be visible in Moscow in May

On the night of May 6, Moscow residents can observe the peak of the Eta Aquariids meteor shower. According to astronomers' calculations, the intensity of the "starfall" is expected to reach up to 40 meteors per hour. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
Experts from the Moscow Planetarium note that the best time to observe the phenomenon is between 02:00 and 04:00 AM. The best view will be from open areas facing the eastern or south-eastern horizon.
In urban conditions, high-rise balconies are also well-suited for observation. The meteor shower consists of dust particles from Halley's Comet, which enter Earth's atmosphere at an altitude of approximately 100–120 km and burn up with bright flashes.
The radiant of this phenomenon is located in the Aquarius constellation. This is why the meteor shower got its name and provides a spectacular sight for observers every spring.
