Xiaomi launches a smart heater for bathrooms

Chinese technology giant Xiaomi is expanding its smart home ecosystem with a new-generation device designed for bathrooms. According to ixbt.com, the Mijia Smart Bath Heater P1 Human Sense Edition is a smart ceiling heater featuring automated functions and modern technologies. The device is currently available on the Chinese market with a government subsidy for 1099.05 yuan, equivalent to approximately 160 US dollars. Ixbt.com reports .

High-precision radar and automation

The new heater’s key feature is a built-in high-precision radar operating at 24 GHz. This sensor can accurately detect the presence of people in the room. As a result, when a user enters the bathroom, the system automatically switches on the lights and ventilation, then turns them off after the user leaves.

According to the manufacturer, the sensor’s sensitivity and detection range can be flexibly adjusted based on the size of each room. This ensures convenient operation in a wide range of residential settings.

Technical capabilities and ecosystem

The device supports full integration with Xiaomi HyperConnect, the company’s proprietary ecosystem. The Mijia Smart Bath Heater P1 features a fully integrated retractable light panel with brightness of up to 1500 lumens. According to the company, the soft light used is completely safe for human eyes.

Room heating is handled by an inverter control system with a power output of 3000 watts. The device also includes a volatile organic compounds sensor for monitoring air quality and intelligently controlling ventilation.

Air exchange and purification

Growing demand for such devices in the home appliance market can be explained by their functionality. The new heater quickly removes excess humidity from the bathroom and refreshes the air, with a maximum air delivery rate of 259 cubic meters per hour.

In addition, the device is equipped with an air and surface sterilization system, with an advertised effectiveness of up to 98 percent. This provides an important benefit for users who follow strict hygiene standards.
