Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman

On February 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi.

At the beginning of the conversation, the minister conveyed sincere greetings and a letter from the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to the head of our state.

Issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, primarily realizing the potential of partnership in the trade, economic, investment and financial spheres, were considered.

The intensification of interdepartmental and business relations was noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade turnover and the number of joint ventures are increasing, and business events with the participation of leading companies of the two countries are being held regularly.

Particular attention was paid to expanding the portfolio of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company through new cooperation projects.

The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum will be held in April this year.

In addition, the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations, cultural and humanitarian exchange, and establishing direct air services was emphasized.

Views were exchanged on the regional agenda, including preparations for the second summit of the Central Asia-Gulf States dialogue, which will be held in Samarkand in May this year. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
