Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the French Legion of Honor

A ceremony was held in Paris to award the highest French award - the Legion of Honor - to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The high award was solemnly presented to the head of state by French President Emmanuel Macron.

The President of Uzbekistan was awarded this order for his great contribution to the development of cooperation between the two countries, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples.

The head of state expressed sincere gratitude to the French leader for the award and noted with satisfaction that in recent years, high results have been achieved through fruitful cooperation, and relations between the two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership.

The Legion of Honor was established in 1802. In France, this order is the highest sign of state recognition of special services and honor.
