In Uzbekistan, large-scale reforms are consistently ongoing to provide housing for the population, modernize the construction sector, and build new towns. A vivid confirmation of this is the number of multi-storey buildings commissioned over the past three years and the number of apartments in them.
Construction is growing year by year
According to official data, a total of 4,920 multi-apartment buildings were built in Uzbekistan in 2022–2024, and more than 221,000 apartments were commissioned.
Annual indicators are as follows:
- 2022 - 1,433 houses, 56,115 apartments
- 2023 - 1,443 houses, 65,528 apartments
- 2024 - 2,044 houses, 100,264 apartments
It is clear that neither the number of houses nor the number of apartments has decreased from year to year - on the contrary, a steady growth is observed.
“New Uzbekistan” estates - a modern town concept
The “New Uzbekistan” estates, implemented at the initiative of the President, have become one of the largest construction projects today. The number of these estates, which initially amounted to 29, was increased to 56 by 2025.
Currently, in the territory of these estates:
- 890 multi-storey buildings have been built;
- 31,692 houses were commissioned.
This means creating life centers that include not only new infrastructure, but also a new lifestyle, amenities, transport solutions and social services.
Strategic goal - a decent home for every citizen
In search of solutions to the problems that have accumulated over the years, the construction industry of our country is going through a stage of great challenges and achievements. Newly built houses are being built not only in city centers, but also in districts and villages, covering all regions of the country.
The Zamin.uz editorial office sees these numbers not just as statistics, but as a convenience created for every family, every person. A new life, a new dream, a new opportunity begins in every house.
