
Criminal cases related to the illegal distribution of strong-acting medicines were identified in Samarkand and Navoi regions. As a result of rapid operations carried out in cooperation between the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, the State Security Service, and Internal Affairs bodies, lawbreakers were apprehended.
During a special operation in Navoi region, citizen O.Sh. was caught in the act while selling 3,738 units of potent medicines to citizen E.X. for 100 million soums. The drugs were confiscated as material evidence.
Similarly, in Samarkand district, during a joint operation conducted by the local department of the agency, the State Security Service, and the police, citizen Sh.X. was apprehended while attempting to illegally sell 162 units of medicine to citizen F.A. An additional 510 units of such medicines were found on him and seized as evidence.
Criminal cases have been initiated in accordance with relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for both incidents, and investigative actions are currently underway. The responsible authorities have declared their commitment to continue the strict fight against the illegal circulation of pharmaceutical products.
