Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Fuzuli in Azerbaijan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, visited the city of Fuzuli. At the airport, the high-ranking guest was met by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, and other officials.

The city is named after the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli. Located in the southwest of the country, this city has long been considered the “southern gate” of Karabakh.

Since 2020, a large-scale reconstruction program has been implemented in the Fuzuli district and city. One of the important objects was the Fuzuli airport, which was commissioned in 2021. In the city, modern residential complexes, medical and educational institutions, infrastructure facilities have also been built, and new ones are being constructed.

In August 2023, the leaders of the two countries opened a modern school named after Mirzo Ulugbek in the city, built at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan as a symbol of strong friendship between the brotherly peoples. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
