In the coming years, a new international airport is planned to be built in the Tashkent region. This project is being implemented to develop Uzbekistan’s aviation infrastructure, improve passenger convenience, and expand international connectivity.
It has been reported that the current airport located in the city of Tashkent will not be able to handle the expected passenger flow of up to 15 million by 2030. Therefore, the government and responsible organizations have decided to construct a new airport.
The project is expected to be financed through a public-private partnership. At present, proposals are being received from various countries, with leading foreign companies also showing interest.
The new airport will be located outside the city center in a convenient and strategically advantageous location. It will meet international standards and requirements, be equipped with modern technologies, and offer fast and comfortable services for passengers.
In addition, logistics centers, hotels, and business facilities are expected to be built around the airport. This will not only boost tourism and transit potential but also significantly support the local economy.
The launch of the new airport’s operations will open up new opportunities not only for Tashkent but for the entire country.
