A Ural Airlines aircraft flying from Irkutsk to Tashkent encountered an unforeseen situation. According to the press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, an emergency situation occurred when the aircraft collided with a flock of birds during takeoff.
According to the department, the incident occurred at Irkutsk Airport at 07:40 local time while the plane was boarding the runway. As a result of one of the birds getting into one of the aircraft's engines, the crew was forced to return to the airport to ensure safety.
There were six crew members and 91 passengers on board. According to reports, no one was injured in the incident, and all safety regulations were fully observed.
This incident serves as an example of the recurrence of the problem of bird collisions in the aviation industry. It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that the Iberia aircraft, flying from Madrid to Paris, collided with vultures and rushed to the airport in an emergency.
