Several stations of the Tashkent Metro, specifically those on the route of the Circle Line dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, were temporarily closed for planned maintenance work. However, it has now been confirmed that these stations will reopen in October this year. This was reported by the official press service of the Tashkent Metro.
In connection with the reopening, the planned maintenance work, which has been ongoing for several months, will be completed. According to the information provided, from October 18, 2025, trains will resume their service and start operating for passengers again. Currently, the trial runs are in their final stage and are nearing completion. These tests are being conducted without passengers.
The maintenance work on the Tashkent Metro route between the “Technopark” and “Yangiobod” stations began on August 2. To avoid any inconvenience for passengers, free bus services (metrobus) with large capacities have been introduced on the “Technopark” — “Kipchak” — “Technopark” route.
Moreover, after the completion of all preventive measures, the Tashkent Metro will restore regular service and provide efficient passenger service. This will also ensure updated and improved infrastructure for passengers.
With the resumption of Metro operations, each station will return to its independent routes, and all related issues and concerns will be clarified. The Tashkent Metro plays a significant role for many people, and the reopening of these stations marks a new phase in the development of the city's transport system.
