Non-compliance with the rules of atmospheric air protection entails liability. According to Article 88 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, fines of varying degrees are established for this violation.
1. In case of improper combustion of fuel or bitumen during construction work:
- to citizens - from 1/3 to 1 BRV,
- to officials - from 1 to 3 times.
2. In the event of a repeated offense:
- to citizens - from 1 to 3 times,
- to officials - from 3 to 7 times.
3. For air pollution by burning stubble, fallen leaves, or branches:
- to citizens - from 3 to 5 times,
- to officials - from 5 to 10 times.
According to the data, during 2020-2024, 419 people were prosecuted under this article, and in the first half of this year, 18 people were prosecuted.
Ecologists urge residents to maintain clean air, avoid burning waste, and comply with legal requirements.
