On October 21, in connection with the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the state language, the pages of the presidential press service and its secretary were completely transitioned to the Latin alphabet.
First, the presidential press secretary posted on his page a message in Latin script about the head of state's visit to the IT Park in Tashkent. Subsequently, information in this style began to be published on the official pages of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to reports, until now, the presidential press service had been using both alphabets - Cyrillic and Latin. However, on some platforms, the Cyrillic alphabet prevailed. For example, the president's Telegram page was run in Cyrillic.
It should be recalled that earlier the presidential press service introduced the use of the official symbol - venzel. Now, the image of the Humo bird against the background of an octagonal star and the national flag has become a permanent element in the graphs attached to the messages.
This step is assessed as an important step towards the formation of a unified and modern style in official sources of information.
