Uzbekistan on the Eve of Joining the WTO


Uzbekistan is very close to joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). This was reported by a UPL correspondent.

According to information, on November 6, Uzbekistan reached an agreement with Ecuador in bilateral negotiations on market access. As of now, Uzbekistan needs to reach agreements with two more countries in order to join the organization.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan has been striving to become a member of the WTO for several years. The government of Uzbekistan believes that this organization will open up new markets for the country.
