Uzun district was noted as a model territory due to achieving high results this year in reducing poverty and increasing employment. Thanks to the allocated 160 billion soms, 70 million dollars of foreign investment, and the launch of 47 new enterprises, thousands of residents were provided with employment. As a result, the district’s poverty level decreased from 10.5 percent to 3 percent since the beginning of the year.
In contrast to this, the misuse of allocated funds in Denov district was criticized. The absence of any change in the income of 1,200 families included in the poverty register showed the inefficiency of the hokimiyat’s work. Although the district received 4.5 times more resources than Uzun, the result was insufficient.
It was also noted that in Chiroqchi district, despite the allocation of 309 billion soms of credit resources for the development of entrepreneurship, the hokimiyat did not provide the population with ready projects corresponding to their capabilities. This showed the irrational use of allocated funds by the district administration.
Due to these shortcomings, it was determined to dismiss Denov hokim I. Abrorov and his first deputy Sh. To‘raqulov, as well as Chiroqchi hokim F. Yusupov and his first deputy Z. Ergashev. This decision is aimed at ensuring full implementation of socio-economic programs in the regions.
