Uzhydromet issued an urgent warning for December 8-10 of this year. According to experts, during these days, a stream of humid and cold air will enter the territory of the country, and the weather conditions in all regions will change significantly. Due to changes in air masses, a number of possible meteorological conditions may be observed in the cross-section of territories.
Rain is expected in some places across the republic on December 8-9. As a result of increased humidity against the background of a decrease in air temperature, precipitation may periodically intensify in some areas.
In the foothill and mountainous regions, precipitation on December 8-10 will be variable - during this period, rain may alternate with snow, and at times heavy precipitation may be observed. Specialists urge residents to be cautious in such conditions, especially drivers traveling on mountain roads.
At the same time, on December 9-10, wind gusts up to 15-18 m/s are expected in the northern part of the country and desert areas, and in some places, short-term gusts up to 20-22 m/s are expected. In some places, this can lead to dust accumulation, reduced visibility, and inconvenience in traffic.
The temperature change is also very noticeable. By December 10, temperatures in the central regions are expected to be -2-5°C at night and 3-6°C during the day. In the northern regions, the frost will be even stronger, with nighttime temperatures reaching 7-10 degrees below zero, and daytime temperatures around 0-3 degrees below zero.
Uzhydromet urged the population to make timely preparations in connection with the sharp change in weather conditions, especially to strictly observe safety rules during road traffic and work in open areas.
