How clinics and hospitals will operate during the New Year holidays

During the New Year holidays, all medical institutions in Uzbekistan will switch to a 24/7 operating schedule. Medical assistance will be provided to the public by on-duty specialists. This was reported by podrobno.uzreports.

According to the Ministry of Health, on these days nearly 20,000 medical workers will be on duty at hospitals of all levels, including specialized centers, clinics, as well as inter-district traumatology and cardiology associations. A special coordinating штаб has also been established under the ministry.

Additional inpatient beds have been prepared at healthcare facilities, and necessary medicine reserves have been formed. The Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care, its 13 regional branches, and emergency departments in nearly 200 settlements will also operate around the clock.

Across the country, more than 2,860 emergency medical service teams will remain on full alert. 231 maternity hospitals and 233 pediatric medical institutions will also continue operating without interruption.

For health-related issues, citizens can contact the ministry’s 24/7 hotline via the short number 1003.

In addition, citizens of Uzbekistan will have five consecutive days off for the New Year. For all employees, December 31 (Wednesday) and January 2 (Friday) have been designated as additional days off. For those working a six-day workweek, January 3 (Saturday) will also be a non-working day.
