Avalanche risk announced in Uzbekistan’s mountainous areas

In Uzbekistan, a high risk of avalanches is forecast in a number of mountainous areas from December 31, 2025 to January 5, 2026. The cause is said to be expected precipitation and sharp changes in air temperature during these days. This was reported by podrobno.uzreports.

It was also reported earlier that from December 30 to January 3, variable cloudiness is expected across the country; on some days rain may fall in places, while in the mountains precipitation may occur as rain and snow. Fog was forecast in a number of areas, and winds were expected to strengthen in some places.
