New Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Appointed

Ukhtam Salomov, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor, has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations. The ministry’s press service reported this. More details on podrobno.uz.reports.

The appointment was made under a decree of the President of Uzbekistan. Ukhtam Salomov is 48 and was born in Bukhara Region. In 1999, he graduated from Tashkent State University with a degree in physics.

During his career, Salomov headed the Andijan Machine-Building Institute, led the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, and also served as First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan.

Prior to the appointment, he served as rector of Fergana State Technical University.
