By 2030, Uzbeks may be able to travel visa-free to 50 countries

Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of countries its citizens can visit visa-free to 50 by 2030. These targets are outlined in the draft updated development strategy for 2026–2030. Podrobno.uz reports.reports.
According to the document, agreements on visa-free or simplified entry will be expanded step by step: in 2026, two more new agreements are planned, and in 2027—agreements with five countries. As a result, the number of visa-free destinations is expected to reach 45 by 2028, 48 in 2029, and 50 in 2030.
At the same time, the list of countries with eased entry procedures is also set to expand. Over 2026–2030, the number of such countries is expected to reach 60. This refers to countries offering e-visas, visas on arrival at airports, or other simplified regimes.
In the coming years, a mobile platform for accessing consular services is also planned. Thanks to digitalization, the number of service users is expected to grow from the current 8.5 thousand to 15 thousand in 2026 and to 100 thousand by 2030.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Uzbek citizens can currently travel visa-free to 35 countries. Another 42 countries offer various forms of simplified entry.
