A technical delegation from the Ministry of Mining and Petroleum of Afghanistan visited Uzbekistan to improve their knowledge and skills in the mining sector.
Uzbekistan has extensive experience in mining and geology, and within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Afghan specialists are participating in a 28-day professional development course. During the course, they get acquainted with modern technologies, mining processes, and geological research methods.
The program is held under the sponsorship of the “Uzbek Overseas Geology Company” at the “Institute for Professional Development of Mining and Geology Specialists” under the University of Geological Sciences. The course is dedicated to “Laboratory and Analytical Research in Geological Exploration and Mining,” including practical exercises and laboratory research.
This visit serves to strengthen professional ties between the two countries in the mining sector, facilitate experience sharing, and prepare skilled personnel.
