Saudi Arabia has announced new procedures for Umrah pilgrimage ahead of the Hajj season. According to it, the last day to apply for the Umrah visa is March 19, the last entry period is April 2, and the last exit date from Saudi Arabia is April 18.
Also, the deadline for performing Umrah rituals is April 18.
Every year, millions of pilgrims visit the cities of Mecca and Medina. Due to the approaching Hajj season, Umrah visas will be temporarily suspended to prepare the holy cities.
Experts stated that this decision was made from logistics and security perspectives, and since more than two million pilgrims are expected to arrive during Hajj, the medical services, transport, and hotel systems will be completely reorganized.
It is noted that after the completion of the Hajj season, around June 11, 2026, the Umrah pilgrimage is planned to resume.
