Another important appointment has been made in the fuel and energy sector of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the relevant decree, Behzod Normatov has been appointed as the Presidential Advisor on fuel and energy issues.
According to reports, prior to this appointment, Behzod Normatov served as a department head at the project office for accelerating reforms in the oil and gas sector under the Presidential Administration. He is distinguished by his many years of experience and industry knowledge.
Previously, Normatov served as Chairman of the Board of Andijonneft JSC and Head of the Geology, Oil and Gas Extraction Department at the Ministry of Energy. He also held positions as Deputy Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Uztransgaz JSC.
It is worth noting that Alisher Sultanov previously held this position.
Experts believe that this appointment is of great importance for further accelerating reforms in the energy sector, increasing efficiency in the oil and gas industry, and consistently implementing strategic projects.
