Polish presidential candidate Grzegorz Brown burns the EU flag (video)

Grzegorz Braun, a candidate for the presidency of Poland and known for his outrageous speeches, has caused another scandal. This time, he threw the EU flag on the ground in Katowice, trampled it underfoot, and then burned it in front of many people. The video of this incident was posted on his personal page on the social network.

According to RMF 24, the scandalous incident took place at the Ministry of Industry building in Katowice. As it turned out, Grzegorz Braun, as a member of parliament, visited there to study the situation in the country's coal mining industry. However, during the event, he took the EU flag, demonstratively threw it on the ground, trampled it underfoot, and finally burned it.

"This is not Brussels, this is Poland!" he wrote on his page on the social network.

At the time of the incident, an unidentified woman tried to block the presidential candidate's move, but Brown managed to repel her with serious resistance.

"Have mercy on yourselves! If you are not ashamed, fear God! This is Poland, not Brussels! We will not allow the display of flags of enemy organizations in our country!" - added the politician.

This is not the first time for Brown. He has been at the center of scandals related to the Ukrainian flag several times before. In particular, his supporters forcibly removed the Ukrainian flag that had been hanging from the city hall of Biała Podlaska since 2022. Brown later supported this action and, taking full responsibility, promised to deliver the Ukrainian flag to the nearest consulate of this country.

For your information, the European Parliament recently stripped Grzegorz Brown of his parliamentary immunity. The Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office is preparing to charge him with seven different crimes.
