In Tehran, due to the sharp deterioration of air quality, schools and universities have been temporarily closed, and the educational process has been switched to a remote format. According to local media reports, the city authorities have assessed the situation as dangerous.
Except for employees of emergency services, medicine, the military, and law enforcement agencies, many workers in the public and private sectors have been allowed to work from home.
In Tehran and its surrounding areas, from 06:30 to 20:30 restrictions have been imposed on the movement of automobiles. The movement of cargo trucks has been banned, with exceptions only for vehicles transporting fuel or perishable goods.
According to the information, if air quality in the capital does not improve in the coming days, the restrictions may be further strengthened and their duration extended.
