New allowance for children under three to be introduced in Kyrgyzstan

Starting July 1, 2026, a new state allowance for all children under three years old will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan. Under this program, called "Bala irisi," monthly payments will be made to every child. According to the decree signed by President Sadyr Japarov, the allowance amount will be 1200 Kyrgyz soms. It is important to note that these funds are allocated to all citizens in equal amounts, regardless of the family's income.

The head of state emphasized that this decision was made taking into account the appeals and suggestions of many citizens. According to Japarov, a person's future physical and mental potential is formed in the first years of life. Therefore, the state considers supporting the young generation its priority task. "Every child is born with their own happiness and blessing," the president added.

According to statistics, there are about 445,000 children under the age of three living in Kyrgyzstan today. To implement this new social initiative, it is planned to allocate more than 530 million Kyrgyz soms from the state budget every month. This step is seen as an important change in strengthening demographic policy and supporting young families in the country.
