The Pentagon is preparing to deliver a "firm final blow" against Iran. Axios reported this. According to sources, four options are being considered:
1. To invade or block the island of Harg, the main center of Iranian oil exports;
2. The invasion of the island of Larak, which would help Tehran strengthen control over the Strait of Hormuz. It houses bunkers, attack ships, and radars monitoring traffic in the strait;
3. To seize the strategic island of Abu Musa, controlled by Iran, but also claimed by the UAE, and two small islands located near the western entrance to the strait;
4. Block or seize ships exporting Iranian oil from the eastern side of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Pentagon also developed ground operation plans to seize facilities containing highly enriched uranium in Iran.
