Iran has completely closed the Strait of Hormuz

This morning on March 27, following statements by the President of the United States regarding the openness of the Strait of Hormuz, three container ships belonging to various countries attempted to move along the permitted corridor. However, after a warning from the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, they were forced to turn back.
According to IRGC representatives, the Strait of Hormuz is currently closed, and any movement in this zone will be met with a “harsh response.”
According to sources, this situation indicates that tensions on international maritime routes are continuing to escalate. Considering that oil and cargo transportation routes passing through the Strait of Hormuz are of strategic importance to the global economy, such restrictions may also affect global markets.
At the same time, observers note that the situation may become even more complicated in the coming days. As military and political tensions in the region persist, their impact on international relations cannot be ruled out.
