Tragedy in Hurghada: Tourist killed by cobra bite

A tragic incident has occurred involving a German tourist vacationing in Egypt. According to CNN, the man died after being bitten by a cobra during a snake show.

It is reported that the 57-year-old man had traveled to Egypt with his family for a vacation and was staying in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada. They were attending a snake show organized as part of the hotel's entertainment program.

During the event, one of the snakes, presumably a cobra, crawled inside the man's clothing and bit his leg. Although the situation was not initially assessed as serious, symptoms of poisoning intensified shortly after, and his condition deteriorated.

He was subsequently rushed to a nearby medical facility and admitted to the intensive care unit. Despite the efforts of doctors, it was impossible to save the tourist's life.

The criminal police of Memmingen, Germany, have launched an investigation into the incident. Toxicological examination results are currently pending.

Experts note that fatalities related to snake bites are not uncommon worldwide. According to World Health Organization data, between 81,000 and 138,000 people die every year due to this cause.
