Elon Musk's satellite internet officially launches in Kyrgyzstan

Founded by one of the world's richest people, Elon Musk, with the goal of providing high-quality internet to the entire world, Starlink the global satellite communication system, has now officially launched its operations in neighboring Kyrgyzstan. The country has been added to the company's global coverage map, allowing full access to its internet services.
Kyrgyz users can now check connection quality and tariff plans in their area by entering their address on the system's official website.
What are the prices and tariffs?
Today, the following convenient tariff plans are offered to consumers in the neighboring country:
Mini tariff: Including the full set of necessary equipment 27,180 som (approximately 3.7 million soums in our national currency).
Standard tariff: This package, which offers higher speeds and broader capabilities, is priced at 36,270 som (approximately 4.9 million soums).
The arrival of this modern technology is of great social importance, especially for residents living in mountainous and remote villages where standard wired or mobile internet networks are difficult to reach.
Starlink coverage is expanding in Central Asia
The popularity of space internet in our region has been growing rapidly in recent years:
Kazakhstan (August 13, 2025): The first country in Central Asia to launch this system. Initially started as a pilot project, it quickly became widespread. Monthly fees range from 23,000 tenge ($48) to 31,000 tenge ($66), and equipment costs between 104,000 ($221) and 201,000 tenge ($427).
Tajikistan (February 2026): At the beginning of this year, the population of this country also gained access to satellite internet. The monthly price for the standard tariff is 1,100 somoni ($118), and equipment purchase costs 2,700 somoni ($291).
When will it launch in Uzbekistan?
Good news for our compatriots: According to Starlink's official strategic map, satellite internet is firmly planned to be launched and made available in Uzbekistan during this current year, 2026. High-speed internet is expected to appear in the most remote villages of our country soon.
