A major case involving former CIA officer David Rush has been uncovered in the US. According to The Washington Post, 303 gold bars worth $40 million were found in his Virginia home.

During the search, FBI agents also discovered nearly $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches. According to prosecutors, Rush demanded the gold and foreign currency, claiming they were needed for "operational expenses."

According to the investigation, between November 2025 and March 2026, he repeatedly requested large amounts of foreign currency and gold bars from his employer. Furthermore, it is alleged that Rush lied about his education and military service for years.

David Rush is currently being held in a US Marshals Service facility. His detention hearing is scheduled for June 5.
