Uzbekistan Could Begin Producing the “Atom” EV
The Russian company “Kama” is in talks with Uzbekistan to launch production of the “Atom” electric vehicle, reports TASS.

Additionally, Uzbekistan may receive technology developed by Russian engineers. Similar negotiations are ongoing with China and other countries.

The "Atom" electric car was introduced in spring 2023, and its production is set to begin in the second half of 2025. The vehicle will be equipped with a 77 kWh battery, providing a range of 500 km.

According to the manufacturer, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, with a starting price of 2.9 million rubles (~$32,100).

The Uzbek government has implemented various incentives to support the production of electric vehicles. Auto manufacturers are exempt from recycling fees until 2030, and import duties on components have also been waived.
