In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan imported passenger vehicles worth $115.1 million, upl.uz reported.

According to the Statistics Committee, 6,950 cars were brought into the country between January and March. China was the top supplier, exporting 5,235 vehicles.

South Korea followed with 1,425 vehicles. Other contributors included India (144), Japan (77), and the U.S. (18). An additional 51 cars came from other countries.

These figures indicate that China continues to solidify its position in Uzbekistan’s auto market, far ahead of other exporters.

In 2024, China became the world’s largest car exporter, surpassing Japan. In Uzbekistan, Chinese brands like BYD and Chery are rapidly expanding thanks to affordable prices and modern technology.
