During the business program in Kuala Lumpur, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim visited the Twin Towers building, the headquarters of the Petronas corporation, and met with the company's President Muhammad Tawfiq.


The issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation with this global company, one of the leaders in the oil and gas, petrochemical and renewable energy sectors, were considered.

The head of our state supported promising plans for deep processing of raw materials and the implementation of "green" energy projects.


The priority tasks were to conduct geological exploration and development of promising hydrocarbon deposits, introduce advanced technologies for the capture and storage of carbon dioxide gas, and train highly qualified personnel on the basis of Petronas University.
