The scale of the damage caused to nature in Uzbekistan has once again been brought to the attention of the public. According to the State Security Service, a total of 46.7 billion soums of environmental damage was caused during the month.
It was reported that special working groups consisting of representatives of the State Security Service, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Committee for Ecology conducted 116 inspections nationwide.
During the events, cases of illegal sand and gravel extraction (39), felling of trees (36), violation of fishing rules (15), violation of the law in the possession of weapons and hunting (6), and environmental pollution (20) were identified.
It was reported that as a result of these violations, about 47 billion soums of damage was caused to nature.
