In the Rishton district of the Fergana region, an unpleasant incident occurred. The head of the “Buloqboshi Gulshani” farming enterprise, Ghayratjon Khayrullayev, faced a dispute with police officers at his home.
According to the farmer, three officers entered his house under the pretext of the grain delivery plan and threatened him by pointing a gun. His mother, who is over 70 years old, intervened in the situation, after which she was pushed, fell to the ground, and lost consciousness.
“I delivered 17 tons of grain to the exchange. There is not a single gram of grain left in my house. My mother spent a week in the hospital and barely recovered,” Khayrullayev said.
It is also reported that another farmer was detained for 5 days because equipment intended for fertilizing cotton had not been handed over to the local administration.
Meanwhile, the hokim of Rishton district, Bahodir Kholiqov, stressed that the officers had not pointed a gun at the farmer and had only come to provide explanations.
The public is awaiting comments and official conclusions regarding this incident.
