In the city of Nurafshan, Tashkent region, a person engaged in the illegal sale of tobacco and medicines was detained. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
According to information, during the operation, citizen I.E. was exposed while preparing undocumented and low-quality products for sale in his house in the "Shova" neighborhood. During the inspection, 8,400 boxes of 7 types of tobacco products worth 140.6 million soums were discovered, as well as 780 units of 12 types of medicines worth 30.6 million soums.
All products were confiscated as material evidence. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated on this fact under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
Relevant agencies are taking measures to combat illegal trade and prevent low-quality products that pose a threat to public health.
