
A verdict has been announced for a man who repeatedly beat and kicked his mother to death in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. According to the Tashkent City Court, he has been sentenced to 15 years in a general-regime colony and will undergo compulsory treatment for alcohol addiction.
According to the investigation, the tragedy occurred as a result of a family dispute. The defendant’s mother opposed his plan to sell their home and move to a foreign country where his ex-wife and daughter lived. Intoxicated, the man used force multiple times during the argument, causing severe bodily injuries. The woman died at the scene.
During the investigation, forensic medical conclusions, psychiatric examinations, witness statements, inspection of the crime scene, and material evidence were thoroughly examined.
At the court hearing, the defendant’s daughter stated that there had been no serious conflicts between them before and requested a lighter sentence. His wife also said that he had suffered from alcoholism for many years.
According to the court’s verdict, the man will serve 15 years in a general-regime colony. He will also undergo compulsory treatment for alcoholism.
