The details of the criminal case related to the death of a Turkish businessman in the Karaulbazar district of the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan have been revealed, Qalampir reports.
Reportedly, the foreign businessman was killed in the steppe area, and his body was buried there with soil spread over it. Most importantly, it was established that the perpetrators were not strangers - they were the deceased's own compatriots.
The lifeless body of a Turkish businessman was discovered on October 17, 2025, by a local livestock breeder. It was reported that the deceased was 49-year-old Kadir Tunç, who was wanted for missing in Turkey.
During the preliminary investigation, it was established that most of the body was decomposed and the deceased died from stab wounds. During the investigation, the state number of the car that passed through the scene was determined, and it was revealed that this car was rented by 51-year-old Suat T., a resident of Istanbul.
During the inspection of the car, traces of blood were found on it, and the samples taken were confirmed to belong to the deceased.
On this basis, within the framework of a joint operation of law enforcement agencies of the two countries, Suat T. and three other suspects were detained in Istanbul. All suspects admitted to committing the murder during interrogation.
The investigation revealed that Qodir Tunch and Suat T. met with a plan to open a restaurant in Uzbekistan. The disagreement between them arose due to a financial issue. According to Suat T., he gave Qodir Tunch $20,000 for the contract, but demanded a refund after the project failed.
The argument escalated into a fight inside the car. During the fight, Qodir Tunch sustained serious injuries and died shortly after.
The suspects carried the body slightly deeper along the main road and, without having time to dig a hole, covered it with soil. After that, they returned to Turkey.
After the murder, Suat T. sent one of his acquaintances to Uzbekistan to hand over the rented car. According to the investigation, the person was unaware of the crime.
Currently, the criminal case against four suspects in this case has been transferred to court. The investigation has been completed.
