Khayrullo, who showed heroism in Petersburg, was duly awarded

In St. Petersburg, the state award - the "Jasorat" medal - was solemnly presented to Khayrullo Ibodullayev, an Uzbekistani who saved the life of a child falling from a window. The award ceremony took place at the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg. This event was met with great interest and respect not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the Russian public.

As is known, the "Jasorat" Medal is awarded to individuals who demonstrate heroism, selflessness, and humanism in dangerous situations. In this sense, Khayrullo Ibodullayev's work deserves special recognition. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia, Botirjon Asadov, also highly appreciated his courage and noted that Ibodullayev, not thinking about himself and his health, first of all thought about the fate of the child. According to the ambassador, it was this selfless act that attracted the attention of the public.

Indeed, this incident was not a common occurrence. According to RIA Novosti, on February 22, in St. Petersburg, Ibadullayev grabbed a six-year-old boy who was falling from a seventh-floor window and eased the main weight of the blow with his body. In doing so, he practically saved the boy's life. Later, the child was hospitalized, and his condition was reported to be stable.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev previously signed a decree awarding Khayrullo Ibodullayev the "Jasorat" Medal. This decision was perceived as a high assessment of his courage, bravery, and selfless human qualities displayed during the emergency.

Interestingly, Khayrullo Ibodullayev received special recognition not only from Uzbekistan but also from Russia. The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, presented him with the medal "For Courage in Rescue," as well as a commemorative watch. This shows that his courage was highly appreciated by the public of both countries.

At the award ceremony, Ibadullayev himself recalled the moments that occurred. According to him, upon seeing the child by the window, he didn't hesitate for a moment and immediately tried to catch him. Although she is now reported to have mild chest and arm pain, she has stated that she is generally feeling well. This shows that he is not only brave, but also a spiritually strong person.

"My chest and hand are hurting a little now, but overall, everything is fine, I feel very good," he told reporters.

It was also reported that Khayrullo Ibodullayev has been working in St. Petersburg since December 2025, and before that, he worked in the field of street cleaning in Orenburg. Ambassador Botirjon Asadov emphasized that it is precisely through such events that respect for citizens working abroad, their work, and their personality is growing.

In short, this act of Khayrullo Ibodullayev is not just an accidental feat, but a vivid example of true courage, selflessness, and the prioritization of human life above all else. As long as there are such people, confidence grows that goodness is still strong in life. His name is being mentioned heroically today - and this is entirely fitting.
