Another major case was uncovered as part of the fight against illegal trafficking in the territory of our country. According to the State Security Service, a large quantity of narcotics was discovered and seized along the banks of the Syr Darya River.
It is noted that 4 polyethylene bags left by unknown persons were found in the coastal part of the Syrdarya river flowing through the territory of the Besharyk district. This situation was identified during operational and preventive measures carried out by the border troops.
When the found bags were examined in the presence of witnesses, a large quantity of illegal substances was discovered inside them. In particular, more than 47 kilograms of hashish were found in 48 packages, and about 8 kilograms of opium in 15 packages.
In addition, medicines were also found inside the bags - specifically, more than 10,000 units of "Lidaza" and over 700 units of "Tenoksicam" drugs were identified and seized in accordance with the established procedure. Experts state that these products may have been smuggled from the neighboring country.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under the article of the Criminal Code related to smuggling. Operational-search activities are currently ongoing to identify and apprehend the individuals behind this illegal cargo.
Law enforcement agencies are urging citizens to be vigilant and to immediately report suspicious incidents to the relevant authorities.
