Reaction to Husanov's transfer to Manchester City in Russia

Famous Russian football expert Yuriy Syomin expressed his opinion on Abduqodir Husanov's transfer to Manchester City and criticized Moscow Spartak club for previously ignoring him.

According to Syomin, Husanov stood out in the Belarusian championship playing for Energetik-BGU, and his performance should have been monitored by scouts from Russian clubs. Spartak could have bought Husanov for only 100 thousand dollars at that time due to financial constraints, the expert emphasized.

“The question arises: did Spartak's management at that time not watch the Belarusian championship? Why was a bright player in Energetik-BGU ignored?” said Syomin.

On January 3, 2025, Spanish Francis Cachicao was appointed as the sports director of Spartak. His contract is signed until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Currently, 20-year-old Abduqodir Husanov plays for the French club Lens and the Uzbekistan national team. Reports have spread that his move to Manchester City is close and the English club is ready to pay 40 million euros for this transfer.
