The reigning UEFA Champions League winner and one of the leading clubs in world football — Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) — failed to reach an agreement with its main and reliable goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma regarding a new contract. As a result, the French giant placed the 26-year-old experienced goalkeeper on the transfer list and put him up for sale.
Usually, players of this level generate great interest on the market. Now, for fans and experts, the most interesting question is — for how much does PSG intend to sell Donnarumma?
According to Give Me Sport journalist and trusted football insider Ben Jacobs, the Paris club is demanding 26 million pounds (approximately 30 million euros) for the Italian goalkeeper.
Interestingly, the Transfermarkt portal has set Gianluigi’s market value at 40 million euros. This means PSG has clearly set a lower price in order to sell him more quickly. This could be a very profitable opportunity for top clubs.
As for Donnarumma’s personal plans, the skilled shot-stopper is firmly determined to play in the English Premier League. For this reason, he has rejected offers from Turkey’s famous club Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad team.
Experts believe that English clubs, especially those competing for top positions, are quite likely to start making moves to acquire Donnarumma. If he moves to the Premier League, it could become a new and successful chapter in his career.
