Uzbekistan U-23 national team head coach Ravshan Haydarov shared his thoughts about the training camp and preparation for the Asian Cup qualifying stage.
— Preparation for the Asian Cup qualifying stage has been carried out throughout the year. The current camp is organized to achieve the serious goals we have set. The players’ physical condition and mental state are at a high level. It is encouraging that many of them are becoming first-team players in their clubs, — said the coach.
According to Haydarov, the players join the camp with extra motivation after playing for the senior national team. — They have set a goal for themselves to play in the main national team, and this lifts their spirits, — he added.
The coach also emphasized that opponents should not be underestimated: — We should never look down on our opponents. First of all, we must build our own game, and then carefully study the rival. Palestine has been preparing for a long time and recently played against Kyrgyzstan. We are also gathering new information about our opponents, — said Haydarov.
It should be reminded that on August 30, the Uzbekistan U-23 national team will travel to Bishkek to participate in the Asian Cup qualifiers. Haydarov’s men will face Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, and Palestine.
